In 2001 my mom passed away from ovarian cancer. In her memory, I started making teal beaded jewelry in 2008. Since then, I have been a vendor for many run/walks, supporting three ovarian cancer organizations. I use this blog to display my pieces between events and chronicle what I do to raise ovarian cancer awareness.

A new direction!
As you may have read over at my Journey to Motherhood blog, https://j9mommy.blogspot.com/ , I suffered a miscarriage in 2017.
It wasn't long after that when I was inspired to create teething/nursing necklaces for moms. They can also be used as chewelry! They're made of BPA free, food-grade silicone beads and on a silk cord. They are $20 a piece and customizeable based on the colors and styles of beads I have.
Here are some pics of examples!
Because of my miscarriage, I've chosen to donate $5 of each sale to March of Dimes. Charitable giving has always been a cornerstone of Teal4MyMom!
All jewelry pieces pictured on blog posts dated on or after July 30, 2017 are available for order. Every jewelry piece is hand-crafted and no two pieces are exactly the same. Custom orders are accepted. Prices are negotiable--50% of the proceeds is used to buy more jewelry making materials and 50% is donated to an ovarian cancer organization. Email me at janinemkr@gmail.com for order requests! RIP Rita Ann 7/1/2001
